There's no question that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a success. After selling four million copies in just two weeks, CD Projekt RED has been hard at work on the first expansion pack. Hearts of Stone will bring over ten more hours of Geralt as he sets off to defeat the notorious bandit captain Olgierd von Everec. The only problem is that von Everec is immortal, so Geralt will need some help.
Hearts of Stone introduces new characters, more powerful monsters, and a new storyline that players ulutimately define through their choices. Along with those choices are some new Runewords that will drastically change how The Witcher 3 is played. Every new Runeword will change an existing in-game mechanic in some way, giving Geralt more choices in how to handle his enemies.
A limited edition physical release will be available in addition to the digital release. The special physical editions will include two Gwent decks and a detailed rule book. Hearts of Stone releases October 13.
