Now that Final Fantasy fans have had a year to relive the epic tale of Cecil, Rosa, and Rydia, Square Enix is releasing another classic entry in the iconic RPG series. Final Fantasy V is now available for pre-order on Steam, allowing franchise fans both old and new the opportunity to experience the story of Bartz and the other Warriors of Light on PC.
Originally released in 1992, Final Fantasy V saw the return of the job system that was temporarily put aside for IV. The traditional classes returned along with several new ones, all of which are needed to combat the evil Exdeath and ruin his plans. The Steam release of V is a port of the mobile version Square Enix launched on the App Store in 2013. While this means there won't be any fancy 3D graphics, the Sealed Temple post-game dungeon that made its initial appearance in Final Fantasy V Advance returns, complete with the dungeon's end boss Enuo.
Combine that with Steam achievements and trading cards for completionists and Final Fantasy V will keep PC gamers busy for a few days in between other major upcoming releases. Final Fantasy V releases on PC September 24.
