A leaked scan of this month's CoroCoro has reveals that Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon will be by far the largest title in the series yet. On top of a complete Pokédex, Super Mystery Dungeon will feature over 120 randomly-generated dungeons across 5 continents to crawl through, including new "Meowth Dungeons".
For anyone who has played a Pokémon Mystery Dungeon title before, the news of a whopping 120 dungeons is both exciting and a little bit overwhelming. Having such a large array of dungeons will be appropriate considering that the game features just about every single Pokémon that has been found in the game's universe, but imagining a scope of exploration that large is difficult to do. Speaking from personal experience, the limited number of dungeons in past games was more than enough for me. Super Mystery Dungeon may just go on forever.
The special "Meowth Dungeons" seems to be a distant relative of the Zero Isle dungeons found in previous Mystery Dungeon titles. When players step foot in any of these dungeons, a special force will weaken them and drop their levels to Level 5. CoroCoro states that these dungeons will have unique rules, but the magazine does not go into specifics outside of that.
There is no information as to just how large these dungeons will be, but I would assume it's safe to say that they will be reminiscent of previous series dungeons considering this installation allows players to recruit 717 of the 718 available Pokémon (Hoopa is a special case). Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon will launch on Nintendo 3DS on November 20.
