eSports comes to Canada at Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo this November

Mark your calendar, Canadians. The Enthusiast Gaming Live Expo is coming to Ontario November 13-15, and it's bringing all the typical expo fanfare. Cosplay, game demos, you name it. Once wallets have been sufficiently emptied by the gaming swag that will no doubt be for sale, check out one of the many eSports tournaments that will be going on.

Over 20 different eSports tournaments will be held at this year's EGLX show with a total prize pool in excess of $100,000. Several expected titles like HearthstoneCounter Strike, Super Smash Bros., and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 will be present as well as some games that aren't generally associated with eSports. Sports games don't usually have a competitive scene, but there's just something about Canada and hockey that makes sense for NHL 16 to have a tournament at this year's show.

The full slate of games is yet to be announced, possibly because not all of them have been decided on yet. A host of gaming celebrities will also be present, such as League of Legends player Voyboy, Kripp from Hearthstone, and YouTuber Alpha Omega Sin. EGLX will take place November 13-15 in Mississauga, Ontario.
